Pyrene (HOP-G) Lateral Flow Kits
Pyrene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) commonly formed during the incomplete combustion of organic matter. When pyrene enters the body, it is metabolised to form 1-hydroxypyrene (1-HOP) and subsequently 1-hydroxypyrene glucuronide (HOP-G) for urinary secretion. HOP-G is therefore an important biomarker for human exposure to airborne PAH pollutants.
Our positive read, semi-quantitative lateral flow testing system allows for monitoring of at-risk individuals without the need for laboratory equipment or expertise. Tests can be performed in just 60 mins producing actionable results much faster than current alternative testing methods.
